Voice and Text Comms
Voice comm's are an excellent way to communicate with team
members in a very fast flexible manner. Basically the are pretty much required
unless the team is so well practiced on a map that they know exactly where each
other will be at any time. Voice Comm is not meant to replace text binds, it's
just an addition to them that provides faster, more flexible communication.

some good Text in game comms:

There a few different Voice Comm programs out there, specifcially 3 well known
ones, Roger Wilco, BattleCom, and Team Sound. Out of these 3 I believe the best
choice at the moment is BattleCom. It has more flexible channel options then
RogerWilco, and seems to be significantly faster. Team Sound has never worked
correctly for the majority of our clan. The biggest issues with BattleCom are it
eats a large chunk of bandwidth so modem'ers have issues with it and it doesn't
play nicely with some firewalls/internet sharing devices. If a voice comm
program came out that solved those issues while still being fast and have the
channel features we'd be set.

Some good things to do when setting it up...
1) Just choose the defaults for everything.
2) Setup hotkeys for switching channels
A) After installing connect to the server
B) Go to the Settings/Hotkeys menu
C) Click on Channel Switch 0
D) Click Edit
E) Then click the Edit in the window that pops up
F) Hold down the key you want to use to switch to that channel. I personally use
the Insert, Delete, Home, End keys.
G) While holding the key click Ok
H) Repeat steps B through G for Channel Switch 1-4
I) Click the Close button to go back to the main window
J) Now right click on the Global Channel
K) Select Assign Hotkey -> Channel Switch 0
L) Repeat steps J and K for the O, D, O2, and D2 channels using Channel Switch
1-4 for each respectivily.
3) You may want to setup some whisper keys. This allows you to talk to one
person with out everyone else hearing you. Even if that other person is on
another channel.
4) You may want to setup voice activated instead of Key activated talking...
Hopefully you can figure out how to do that :).
That should be it. Having your Voice Comm setup properly is very important,
hopefully this text will allow you to do that quickly :).
Text comms
also are an excellent way to communicate with team
members in a very fast flexible manner. These are text binds that use your
number keypad. They can be modified to any key. This Comms
pack has the most common map comms in it. If you need any more you
should be able to easily figure out how to add map comms for new maps.
